Airwash
The Hunter Airwash ensures the glass is kept clean for a complete view of the fire. The 'airwash' is achieved by very hot air being directed down behind the large glass doors creating a screen between the fire and the glass. Smoke or combustion particles do not come into contact with the glass, leaving it clean to see through.
Easy Access
The Hunter stoves feature a removable throat plate, giving full and easy access for sweepîng the chimney, particularly important in integral boiler stoves.
Safe & Efficient
Over-Night Burning
By reducing the air inflow to an absolute minimum, the fire gently smoulder and remain alight throughout the night. When required, the fire will come to life by simply increasing the air flow into the stove.

Optimum Solid
Fuel Burning
When burning coal and for easy lighting of the stove, air can be directed under the open grate and into the heart of the fire. This provides the optimum conditions for this type of fuel.
Optimum
Woodburning
Conditions
For efficient wood burning the air is directed into the top of the stove and heated in an air chamber before being 'airwashed' down inside the doors and into the heart of the wood fire. This is essential for efficient woodburning giving complete combustion and helps to keep the chimney clean.
A Dust-Free,
Safe and Easy
Riddling System
By simply moving the riddling tool up and down - to open and close the grate - the Herlad riddles safely with the minimum effort. This is undertaken with the doors closed and is completely dust-free.

A cleverly designed integral grate with external 'riddling' adjustment tool means the Herald can be changed fom wood setting to multi-fuel by a single turn of the handle.

When woodburning, the grate is changed to the closed wood position which creates a flat base to ensure a deep bed of ash is allowed to build up.

  1. Cold-handled tool for riddling, opening and closing the doors, grate adjustment and easy removal of ash-pan.
  2. Firebricks line the interior and reflect heat from the rear of the stove.
  3. Large and accessible ash-pan for easy removal of ash.
  4. Interchangeable flue outlets allowing either rear of top flueing.
