500mm logs, length ways, which it does in spectacular
fashion, providing a splendid view of the flames through
a large rectangular glass fire door.
As the heat source
for the oven and hotplates it has to be highly controllable,
which it is, thanks to simple but effective primary
and secondary air flow controls, the secondary control
providing an airwash which keeps the door glass clear.

with a warmth and friendliness that only a true cast
iron range can. It will instil a welcome leisurely

Perhaps the secret to why ESSE cook so superbly can
be found in the way the ovens work. Heat flows around
the outside of the ovens through a series of heavily
insulated flueways. This heat is then transferred to
the oven interior through super-conductive walls producing
an even, gentle heat.
An ESSE is a great way to provide enough piping hot
water to satisfy the needs of every size of household.
You can choose a "cooking and hot water only" model if you prefer to run your central heating from another source. And with some models hot water can be provided economically as a result of cooking.
